The wedding between poor beauty Rosita and rich farmer Fernando gets interrupted when Jacinto--Rosita's true love--comes to kidnap the bride. A good man, Fernando lets Rosita leave, knowing in his heart that she was meant to be with Jacinto, and was only planning to wed him for financial reasons. Fernando's generosity brings him no reward, however, as he shortly turns up dead, with all signs pointing to Jacinto as the prime suspect.
